Assmann HC with magnificent engraving detail, front and rear with lion's rampant set against a stippled and darkened background, signed gold cuvette bearing attributes, engraved pendant and bow, engraved silver dial with applied multicolor gold floral detail, SW-shift-locking-LS with setting released by depressing crown, lever escapement, 15J, nickel damascene, s#10425 with matching serial number within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 35.2 dwt (54.9 g). An exquisitely beautiful gold hunting case pendant watch made for the South American market.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Ticking very sluggishly with low amplitude on a full wind, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, short micro-fine scratch adjacent larger winding wheel; excellent dial with some small bits of black loss to some hour numerals, some mild micro-fine scratches within seconds-register; excellent hands, hour and minute are blue, seconds-hand is plum colored; case shows no wear, no dents or dings, exquisite crisp engraving detail, front and rear central fields were presumably darkened with black wax and front field is a somewhat darker tone relative to rear; tight bow, crown shows virtually no wear; good glass crystal.
